(Given certain facets of me, I will forever be at odds with masculinity. Sometimes I can be the dude no problem, and other times it just feels wrong. One specific aspect of masculinity that is hard to grapple with is that it hurts me to be weak sometimes. I know its okay to be weak, and I know when to be weak, but that doesn't mean it doesn't occasionally cause a meltdown when I can't fix issues that are beyond me especially when they involve the most important people and guinea pigs in my life. This song is dealing with the shitty parts of masculinity in the face of some bullshit thats out of your hands. Let yourself cry.)

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly. Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
